Home

Mixed Media, my new found love and obsession. I call this project "Home." I got the inspiration from the song home by Edward Sharps & the Magnetic Zeros. "Home, Let me come home. Home is wherever I'm with you." This is a cardboard cutout of a house that I collaged and designed. I really enjoyed this project, it help me to realize my style of art I want to work with ! I got the pictures from antique stores around the Ann Arbor area, also I have been collecting buttons and keys over the summer so I incorporated the objects into my house. The outside of the house has a antique, calm safe feeling. I painted the roof a dark brown and the house a lighter brown. The inside of the house is a pink purple color. I feel like it gives the house light and energy! I included old black and white postcard images, pictures of dolls, quote from my inspirational song, and random words.

Scantastic!

Black and White photography using a scanner, is that possible? Yes! All of these photos where taken using a box, scanner and objects that i found. I didnt want to edit these photos because i think the best photographs are the ones that are not edited at all.

One Hot Mess. My thinking behind this photograph was to put together objects that have a high contrasty but have no meaning why they are together, sorta like a messed up collage!

Tea Time.

Most of the times people never look around to actually see what is right in front of them. I look at the little things in life. I notice things that people unusually don't. All of these pictures where taken at different perspectives, and are portrayed in different ways. My main purpose of the photographs was to take ordinary everyday objects and views and show than in ways people don't always see. I think that humans these days are always busy doing something. There is never a dull moment in any of our lives anymore. We never take a break to stop and look around. If we would all slow down our lives; everything would be noticed that was never seen before. Even the things that where right in front of us. Next time you look around, look for something different. That's what being is human is right?

Still Life

For this photo assignment I did still life. I found this assignment very challenging to think of new and different things to take pictures of. I would not say that this is my best photo assignment so far but i would not say that this is my best picture. For my main picture I took a picture of dominoes.

Panoramic

For this assignment we had to create a panoramic photo. I took 3 different pictures of my yard and house. This was a very hard assignment for me. I trouble with everything, the most difficult thing was changing the color of my driveway. The light was hitting in one spot and not hitting in another. Overall this assignment was fun but really stressful.
